An open freestyle jam session welcoming all musical styles, facilitated by Márcio Pinto aka Magupi and Nuno Ferreira, with an opening performance by kora griot Braima Galissá. Free entry.

Marking the centenary of Miles Davis's birth, Laurent Filipe presents a narrated concert at the Auditório Carlos Avilez, joined by Mário Delgado, Alexandre Frazão, Massimo Cavalli and Pedro Lopes. The Portuguese trumpeter revisits decisive moments of Davis's career and shows how he crossed and helped transform successive phases of modern jazz.

Sunset Sessions continue at Centro Vasco da Gama with three free late afternoons of pop and 2000s hits, from 17h00 to 20h00. Hit Zone performs on 24 September and 8 October, while on 1 October NOW 00s brings classics by Rihanna, Beyoncé and Nelly Furtado.

The Cascais Philharmonic Bands Festival brings together the seven philharmonic bands of the municipality, celebrating intergenerational talent and the work of local associations. The 10th edition is co-organized by the Cascais City Council and the Sociedade Recreativa e Musical de Carcavelos, with free entry.

An annual event by the Associação São Francisco de Assis with Cascais Town Council marking World Animal Day, featuring animals for adoption, talks, a dog contest, a kids' area and concerts, with free entry.

Stories run wild at the S. Domingos de Rana Municipal Library, involving children and their families in unique moments of fantasy and strengthening reading habits from an early age. Each session features a storyteller and promises to enchant, surprise and delight the audience.

Mergulhão is a solidarity collective sea dive organised by Helpo, held simultaneously in Portugal, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Guinea-Bissau. The Cascais gathering takes place on 10 October at 10:00 at Praia da Conceição, next to the Hotel Albatroz, with free participation upon online registration.

DAY & NIGHT returns to Cavo Rooftop at the Lisbon Cruise Terminal on Friday 23 October, with Bungee Residents and special guests still to be announced. From 16h00 to 3h00, the riverside terrace is free and open-air by day and turns into a ticketed club by night.
