Museu do Mar - Rei D. Carlos, Cascais

On International Migratory Bird Day, 10 October, the Museu do Mar Rei D. Carlos invites families and children to participate in the workshop 'Seabirds, from the skies to the sea and conquering land along the way!' Species such as the Cory's shearwater, the gannet and the tern itself illustrate the diversity and specialization of these birds, perfectly adapted to a life spent flying over the waves or diving in search of food. In this activity, participants will discover more about these travelers, fundamental to the balance of marine ecosystems! The challenges these birds face today, such as pollution and global warming, will also be addressed; improving our daily lives in order to guarantee the well-being of our oceans and those who inhabit them. Protecting seabirds is essential to guarantee the health of the oceans! Free participation, subject to registration. Target audience: families with children aged 6 to 12. Registration and information: 214 815 954 / 214 815 950 (call to the national fixed network); [email protected].
