A documentary exhibition bringing together one hundred documents in a journey through one hundred years of history.

The third edition of the core exhibition of the Lisbon Jewellery Biennial, organised by MUDE in partnership with PIN, gathering international contemporary jewellery around ecological questions and the coexistence of cultures, species and technologies.

Sinopse Através da sua exposição de longa duração, caracteriza o regime ditatorial português (1926-1974), os seus meios de repressão e opressão (a censura, as polícias e os tribunais políticos), a resistência das oposições (semilegais e clandestinas), a luta anticolonial e o 25 de Abril de 1974. Regularmente promove exposições temporárias, em torno das temáticas ligadas ao seu acervo, com programação paralela, onde se cruzam a resistência do passado com a defesa da cidadania e dos direitos humanos no presente. O Museu dispõe de um centro de documentação, onde disponibiliza literatura especializada, desenvolve atividades de investigação, trata e partilha um arquivo documental e promove uma ampla recolha testemunhal dos resistentes à ditadura. Para além do trabalho educativo com escolas e público geral, são promovidas outras atividades regulares, como visitas orientadas, ciclos de conversas e sessões com cinema e debate. Sinopse A exposição do piso térreo do Museu de Lisboa - Palácio Pimenta revela a evolução de Lisboa, cidade que cresceu virada para o rio Tejo, desde o Paleolítico, há mais de cem mil anos, quando os primeiros habitantes chegaram a este território, até ao esplendor que a cidade atingiu no reinado de D. João V (r. 1706 - 1750). Esta é a primeira parte da nova exposição de longa duração que terá em breve continuidade no piso 1, atualmente em renovação, onde se percorrerá a história de Lisboa desde o século XVIII até ao final do século XX. Através de mais de 500 peças, mais de 200 das quais novas em relação à exposição anterior, a nova exposição é um convite para uma Viagem ao interior da cidade, que revela a evolução de Lisboa. O percurso, organizado de forma cronológica, desvenda diferentes etapas do desenvolvimento urbano e da ocupação do território, complementadas por aspetos da vida quotidiana, importantes marcos arquitetónicos, artísticos e arqueológicos. Com dez mil miniaturas de edifícios que se estendem por mais de dez metros de comprimento e por quatro metros de largura, a Maqueta de Lisboa anterior ao Terramoto de 1755, uma das peças mais emblemáticas do acervo do Museu de Lisboa, volta a estar disponível ao público. A importância da cerâmica na construção e na identidade de Lisboa justifica a criação de uma área específica, dedicada a «Lisboa, cidade de cerâmica», a qual interrompe o discurso cronológico da cidade, que terá continuidade no piso 1 do Museu. A exposição atual permite a visita à antiga cozinha e capela, espaços emblemáticos da vivência do palácio hoje musealizado.
