To mark National Scientific Culture Day, the Museum of Lisbon opens its visitable collections storage in Laranjeiras for a 90-minute guided tour hosted by Aida Nunes, coordinator of the conservation and restoration services.
Brief introduction To mark National Scientific Culture Day, the Museum of Lisbon opens its visitable Reserve, located in a part of the Central Reserve. Synopsis Managing the collections is an important and invisible part of museum work, rarely seen by the public. To celebrate Scientific Culture Week, the Museum of Lisbon shares its backstage areas with visitors, in a tour hosted by Aida Nunes, coordinator of the conservation and restoration services. In recent years, the Museum of Lisbon has been developing its reserves, creating specific spaces for each collection, equipped with storage facilities suited to the different types of objects. The upgrading of the conservation area has been accompanied by progress in the inventory and in high-resolution documentary photography.
