Synopsis The album O que a terra deixou para trás, by the sextet led by Vicente Oliveira, proposes a sound journey that combines the richness of Portuguese traditional music with the universe of jazz. The ancestral melodies of Portuguese traditional music are reinterpreted through arrangements for sextet. By combining these two distinct genres, the project works on cultural identity in modern musical contexts and showcases singular sounds, travelling through a repertoire from different Portuguese regions, from Trás-os-Montes to the Algarve. The album also includes two original pieces by Vicente Oliveira, guitarist and leader of the group.
