Synopsis Razor in the Flesh reconfigures Plínio Marcos's classic in light of migrant experiences in Portugal. Written in 1967, amid the repression of the Brazilian military dictatorship, the original text is a landmark of marginal theatre, marked by direct denunciation of social violence and refusal of dominant moral and aesthetic conventions. Censored at the time, the play brought historically invisible characters to the stage. This creation operates like a razor, opening fissures in Plínio Marcos's text, taking it as living matter and introducing contemporary perspectives, new dramaturgies and migrant experiences. Àkila's staging summons black and dissident bodies to a tenement room where precariousness dictates the rules. Between the housing crisis and the curtailment of rights, this reinterpretation exposes contemporary mechanisms of exclusion, turning the stage into a space of political intervention and aesthetic confrontation. Sinopse Navalha na Carne reconfigura o clássico de Plínio Marcos à luz das experiências migrantes em Portugal. Escrito em 1967, em pleno contexto de repressão da ditadura militar brasileira, o texto original é uma obra de destaque do teatro marginal, marcado pela denúncia direta das violências sociais e pela recusa das convenções morais e estéticas dominantes. Censurada à época, a peça trouxe para o palco personagens historicamente invisibilizadas. Esta criação opera como uma navalha, abrindo fissuras no texto de Plínio Marcos, assumindo-o como matéria viva e introduzindo-lhe perspetivas contemporâneas, novas dramaturgias e experiências migrantes. A encenação de Àkila convoca corpos negros e dissidentes para um quarto de cortiço onde a precariedade dita as regras. Entre a crise habitacional e o cerceamento de direitos, esta releitura expõe as mecânicas de exclusão contemporâneas, transformando o palco num espaço de intervenção política e confronto estético.
