Synopsis Pândiga is born from an encounter with Farsa das Ciganas, by Gil Vicente, which in 1521 reported the arrival of the Roma people to Portugal. Five years later, with the promulgation of yet another repressive law by D. João III, it became clear that the performance of the play was important in constructing an imaginary that fueled suspicions, fears and exclusions. Today, five centuries later, the companies UMCOLETIVO (Portugal) and ACTOS ÍNTIMOS (Spain) return to the text to question it in light of the 500 years of life that separate us from it: do those who come from outside still dream of this old Europe, a place of dreams and possibilities, even when many of those who live here have stopped believing in it? Pândiga is a late and sincere party, a practice of encounter learned from the Roma people. Talk with artists on July 3. Cinco anos mais tarde, com a promulgação de mais uma lei repressiva por parte de D. João III, percebeu-se que a apresentação do espetáculo foi importante na construção de um imaginário que alimentou suspeitas, medos e exclusões. Hoje, cinco séculos depois, as companhias UMCOLETIVO (Portugal) e ACTOS ÍNTIMOS (Espanha) regressam ao texto para o interrogar à luz dos 500 anos de vida que nos separam dele: quem vem de fora continua a sonhar com esta Europa antiga, lugar de sonhos e de possibilidades, mesmo quando muitos dos que aqui vivem deixaram de acreditar nela?
