Synopsis When, from 1512, King D. Manuel I decided that Lisbon would hold the monopoly of the trade of enslaved people from the entire empire, the city became one of the world's largest slave trade hubs until 1761. Breve Introdução Os lugares invisíveis da escravatura I Este percurso pretende tornar visíveis alguns dos lugares que marcaram a vida quotidiana da imensa população escravizada que habitou Lisboa ao longo de séculos. Sinopse Quando, a partir de 1512, o rei D. Manuel I decidiu que Lisboa passaria a deter o monopólio do tráfico de pessoas escravizadas de todo o império, a cidade tornou-se um dos maiores entrepostos mundiais de comércio negreiro até 1761.
