A Portuguese Competition session with two world premieres eligible for the Short Film Award: Inês Sapeta Dias's The House Is the Ruin of a House, which maps a century-old house standing in the mouth of a giant, nearly extinct volcano, and Raul Domingues's Hipogeus, inspired by the archaeoacoustics of prehistoric tombs. The second chapter of the Cadela Força trilogy dives into the complexity of pacts of masculinity, the possible origins of the brotherhood and its codes, many of them inscribed in violence and responsible for perpetuating rape and sexual violence as part of its vocabulary. The proposal does not simplify the theme: the show acknowledges the admiration this brotherhood can inspire when related to the History of Art. Carolina Bianchi mobilises theatre to articulate reflections on representation and real trauma, structures of power in art and radical poetry, investigating the origins of misogyny and a sexuality in crisis. O segundo capítulo da trilogia Cadela Força mergulha na complexidade dos pactos de masculinidade, nas possíveis origens da irmandade e nos seus códigos , muitos deles inscritos na violência e responsáveis por perpetuar a violação e a violência sexual como parte do seu vocabulário. A proposta não simplifica o tema: o espetáculo reconhece a admiração que essa irmandade pode suscitar quando relacionada à História da Arte.
