Brief Introduction The Gold Rush, by Charlie Chaplin, film concert by the Lisbon Film Orchestra Synopsis On February 5 and 6, 2027 at 9pm and February 6 and 7 at 4pm, the Manoel de Oliveira Room of the mythical Cinema São Jorge becomes a stage of timeless emotions with the film concert The Gold Rush. In this unique experience, Charlie Chaplin's classic gains new life with the live performance of the Lisbon Film Orchestra, conducted by its Maestro Nuno de Sá, which accompanies every gesture, every laugh, and every silence of the iconic tramp in search of gold in the icy Alaska, and perhaps, of an impossible love. With music composed by Chaplin and orchestrated by Timothy Brock, this film concert merges the beginnings of cinema and music in a memorable show that celebrates the genius of silent cinema with the power of live music.
