A dance solo that takes its title from a folk song from north-western Portugal, once sung at the end of the working day, exploring the physicality of calling songs in a reflection on vulnerability, loss and ageing.

'Now the Sun Has Set' is the title of a folk song from north-western Portugal that was sung at the end of the working day. This lost tradition of marking the day through song and gesture is the starting point for a vocal choreography that reflects on states of vulnerability and fragility. The piece explores the physicality of calling songs, interjections and imitative sounds, inherited from labour practices and from life alongside animals. In this solo, the relationship between loss, time and ageing questions the possibilities of regeneration and community through dance as a vehicle of belonging, resistance and pleasure. 12 € - tickets.

Agora baixou o sol é o título de uma canção popular do noroeste português que era cantada no final do dia de trabalho. Esta tradição perdida de pontuar o dia através do canto e do gesto é o ponto de partida para uma coreografia vocal que reflete sobre estados de vulnerabilidade e fragilidade. A peça explora a fisicalidade dos cantos de chamamento, interjeições e sons imitativos, herdados da prática laboral e da convivência com os animais.
