Discover the fascinating ancient technique of silk painting from a contemporary and personal angle! This workshop offers a practical and immersive approach to silk, exploring this noble material, historically linked to the East, not only for its technical side but as a living support for memory and artistic expression.
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn to engage with the fluidity and lightness of the fabric through the use of paints specific to silk and the traditional resist technique (guta). Under the guidance of artist Paulo Valle, free gesture and sensitivity towards individual creation will be encouraged, combining experimentation with colour and composition. An excellent opportunity to acquire new artistic skills, relax and create an original and exclusive work on natural silk to take home.
Paulo Valle is a Brazilian visual artist based in Lisbon since 2015 and holds a Master's degree in Art History from the University of Lisbon; he develops work recognised for its dialogue between memory, territory and matter. With solid experience as an art teacher, he teaches techniques ranging from watercolour to acrylic painting; his artistic practice spans painting and textile design, exploring concepts of displacement in the construction of affective landscapes. In silk painting, Paulo Valle finds the ideal support for investigating fluidity and impermanence, combining manual techniques with a sustainable vision based on circular fashion (upcycling). His workshops favour a relaxed and welcoming approach, where free gesture on silk becomes a powerful tool of human storytelling and artistic expression accessible to all.
In case of withdrawal:
A full refund of the registration fee will be given when the withdrawal is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in cases of illness, accident or other unforeseeable circumstances of force majeure, duly proven.
If the activity does not take place due to lack of participants or for any other reason, the registration fee will be refunded in full.

Descubra a fascinante técnica milenar da pintura sobre seda sob um olhar contemporâneo e autoral! Esta oficina propõe uma aproximação prática e imersiva à seda, explorando este material nobre e historicamente ligado ao Oriente não apenas pela sua vertente técnica, mas como um suporte vivo de memória e de expressão artística.
Ao longo do workshop, os participantes vão aprender a dialogar com a fluidez e a leveza do tecido através do uso de tintas específicas para seda e da tradicional técnica de reservas ( guta ). Sob a orientação do artista Paulo Valle, será estimulado o gesto livre e a sensibilização para a valorização na criação individual, combinando a experimentação de cor e composição. Uma excelente oportunidade para adquirir novas competências artísticas, relaxar e criar uma obra original e exclusiva em seda natural para levar consigo.
Paulo Valle Artista visual brasileiro radicado em Lisboa desde 2015 e Mestre em História da Arte pela Universidade de Lisboa, desenvolve um trabalho reconhecido pelo diálogo entre memória, território e matéria. Com uma sólida experiência enquanto professor de artes, leciona técnicas que vão da aguarela a pintura acrílica; a sua prática artística atravessa a pintura e o design têxtil, explorando conceitos de deslocamento para a construção de paisagens afetivas. Na pintura em seda, Paulo Valle encontra o suporte ideal para investigar a fluidez e a impermanência, aliando técnicas manuais a uma visão sustentável baseada na moda circular (upcycling). As suas oficinas privilegiam uma abordagem descontraída e acolhedora, onde o gesto livre sobre a seda se transforma numa potente ferramenta de narrativa humana e expressão artística acessível a todos.
Em caso de desistência:
Haverá lugar ao reembolso do valor total da inscrição quando a desistência for comunicada até 8 dias úteis antes da actividade. Depois dessa data, o reembolso só poderá ser considerado se o lugar for preenchido ou em situações de doença, acidente, ou outros imponderáveis de força maior, devidamente comprovados.
Caso a actividade não se realize por falta de participantes, ou por outro motivo, o valor da inscrição será devolvido na sua totalidade.
