One day, six cities, a thousand stories. For many African and African-descent men, the barber shop is much more than a place for a haircut—it's a meeting point, a space for confidences. The play crosses continents on the day of the Champions League final, letting the audience eavesdrop on intimate conversations.

Barber Shop Chronicles is a theatre play by Inua Ellams, directed by Junior Mthombeni and Michael De Cock. The story unfolds on the day of the Champions League final, following six barber shops in six cities. It explores themes of identity, masculinity, and African cultures. The text is rhythmic and humorous, and the production includes music. There is a post-show discussion on January 30. The play is performed by a multicultural cast.

Sinopse Um dia, seis cidades, mil histórias. Para muitos homens africanos e de ascendência africana, a barbearia é muito mais do que apenas um local para cortar o cabelo. É um ponto de encontro, um espaço para confidências, onde os barbeiros assumem o papel de sábios e a barbearia se transforma num confessionário. Nestes lugares, os tabus desaparecem. Barber Shop Chronicles atravessa continentes e convida o público a descobrir seis barbearias em seis cidades, no dia da final da Liga dos Campeões, dando ao público a sensação de estar a bisbilhotar conversas alheias.
