The Imago Lisboa festival returns with a new edition dedicated to contemporary photography, under the theme Rethinking Photography: Ecologies of the Image. More than a dozen exhibitions take over different venues across Lisbon, bringing together national and international artists.
The Imago Lisboa returns to the city for a new edition dedicated to contemporary photography, establishing itself as a platform for encounter, reflection and the appreciation of the diversity of photographic practices. This year, under the theme Rethinking Photography: Ecologies of the Image, the festival proposes looking at photography beyond its documentary or artistic dimension, exploring the relationships between image, environment, technology, territory and society. Throughout the festival, more than a dozen exhibitions occupy different spaces across Lisbon, creating a route through different languages, perspectives and ways of thinking about and producing images. The programme brings together works by national and international artists, promoting dialogue between different generations and practices and bringing photography closer to new audiences. With the ambition of making Lisbon the stage for a regular photographic event of national and international reference, Imago Lisboa invites you to discover contemporary photography through exhibitions and proposals that question the way we see, produce and interpret the images that are part of our daily lives.
