Synopsis Courts Métrages A laboratory of forms and ideas, where cinema reinvents itself in short format. This section dedicated to short films presents the vitality of new Francophone cinema, revealing emerging talents and singular perspectives in works that condense the power and imagination of the big screen into just a few minutes. Dernier printemps, Mathilde Bédouet France, 2026, 15' Animation, subtitled in Portuguese Presented in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival, Dernier printemps follows Marion and Camille, two inseparable 15-year-old friends who arrive on an island in the South for the last school trip of the year. Between discoveries, desires and first experiences, summer announces itself as a territory of freedom, until the moment when an unexpected event brutally interrupts the innocence of adolescence. Mathilde Bédouet builds a sensitive film about friendship, desire and the end of an age when everything still seems possible. Over the months, the two meet again to talk about the ups and downs of the relationship, while Alyssa's sister and other friends join the conversations, sharing opinions, doubts and experiences. An intimate, funny and complicit portrait of love, friendship and the way we try to understand other people's relationships — and our own.
