She and her friend Cahide Ozel are united by images: those Cahide misses and those Monica patiently restores. They share the belief in the same people and in the political construction of the present, and the search for a safe place in which to build a fragile memory, resisting oblivion. The film is preceded by Land Day, by Maurer, a study of the systematic efforts to disperse and destroy the audiovisual memory and collective identity of the Palestinians.
