A ticket to the Museum of the Orient gives access to all its exhibitions, including the permanent 'Portuguese Presence in Asia' and the temporary 'Japan: Festivals and Rituals', on show until 3 January 2027. Open Tuesday to Sunday, with free entry on Fridays from 18.00 to 20.00.

Brief Introduction The entrance ticket to the Museum of the Orient gives access to all the exhibitions on display. Permanent Exhibition: "Portuguese Presence in Asia" [Floor 1] With more than 3,400 pieces, this collection includes Chinese and Japanese screens from the 17th and 18th centuries and a core of armorial porcelain from the East India Company (Companhia das Índias). Temporary exhibitions: "Japan: Festivals and Rituals" [Floor 2] Until 3 January 2027 Throughout the year, numerous traditional religious festivals and rituals of great social and cultural importance take place in Japan. Bringing together more than 1,500 pieces in an impressive scenography, Japan: Festivals and Rituals reveals these celebrations and their role in Japanese society.
