Synopsis Screenings 21 OCT / 19.00, São Jorge, Room 3 23 OCT / 14.00, São Jorge, Room 3 School session open to the public Geography Is Destiny Geografiyata e Sadba Rayna Teneva • 2026 • Germany, Bulgaria, Austria • 69’ • CP International Premiere Eligible for the Revelation Prize Eligible for the Safe and Healthy Workplaces Prize The filmmaker returns to her homeland, in a Bulgarian valley long shaped by the dichotomy of "Guns and Roses": the rose harvest that stretches across the landscape and the Arsenal arms factory, which employs a large part of the region's population. The film directly addresses work, diving into the labour that sustains this city, inexorably shaped by the current political context of migration and war, and filmmaking in the context of work. Echoing a tradition of direct engagement with work, the filmmaker herself enters an unexpected and risky exchange of roles.
