Alex Bakri's documentary follows Hussein Darby, the last projectionist of Cinema Jenin, as he crosses the West Bank and even tries to enter Israel to repair the cinema's 50-year-old projector when a German NGO arrives to restore it — an analysis of development aid in Palestine and a tribute to a dying film culture. Screenings on 15 October at 14.00 (school session open to the public) and 20 October at 22.00, with descriptive subtitles, plus a round table on Palestinian film archives.

But as the international initiative gains momentum, Hussein becomes a small cog in the machine. The film is an analysis of development aid in Palestine, exposing the colonial remnants rooted in a policy of "charity for peace", and a tribute to a dying film culture.
