Lisbon Irish Session brings the tradition of Irish sessions to Casa do Fauno. With no stage or distance between musicians and audience, more than a concert, a session is an informal musical gathering where musicians come together to play traditional Irish tunes. Violins, concertinas, mandolins, bagpipes and many other traditional instruments meet to bring jigs, reels, polkas and pints to life! 🍻 It will be three hours of travel through the soundscape of Ireland — also passing through Portuguese, Galician, Scottish and Swedish tunes, in a musical gathering between old friends. Founded in 2007, this Irish traditional music session has stood the test of time and has never stopped to this day. 🍀 Sláinte!

A Lisbon Irish Session traz à Casa do Fauno a tradição das irish sessions. Sem palco ou distância entre músicos e público, mais do que um concerto, uma session é um encontro musical informal onde músicos se juntam para tocar temas tradicionais irlandeses. Violinos, concertinas, bandolins, gaitas e muitos outros instrumentos tradicionais encontram-se para dar vida aos jigs, reels, polkas e pints! 🍻 Serão três horas de viagem pela paisagem sonora da Irlanda - passando também por temas portugueses, galegos, escoceses e suecos, num encontro musical entre amigos de longa data.
