Beatriz Silva's second solo exhibition, part of the Art Wekeend event organized by the Centro de Apoio Social do Pisão, with painting and tapestry in the spotlight at the Capela da Sagrada Família in Alcabideche. The show reflects on symbolism and includes workshops by the artist; entry is free.
Ascensão is the second solo exhibition by artist Beatriz Silva and is part of the Art Wekeend event, organized by the Centro de Apoio Social do Pisão, which brings together artistic workshops, exhibitions and workshops. The exhibition presents a diversity of artistic languages, with painting and tapestry taking a prominent place. The works make different references to the Centre, which reveals itself as a source of inspiration for the artist and also tends to inspire those who visit it. Symbolism is the driving theme of the exhibition. The painting starts, for the most part, from drawing, allowing the artist to build a visual path in which figurative works cohabit with others of an abstract character. The artist will also hold workshops in the Capela da Sagrada Família, a space of particular historical and symbolic value, restored over the past year. Ascensão thus proposes a reflection on symbolism and on how spaces, memories and experiences can be transformed into artistic material. Target audience: General.
