Xico Gaiato, the project of Francisco Barata, presents debut album A Cada Passo Que Dou live at Casa Capitão in Lisbon on 2 October — fourteen songs rooted in the Beira Interior reimagined through electronics and pop.

Xico Gaiato releases A Cada Passo Que Dou, his debut album, on Omnichord. After revealing the singles "Voltas e Voltas" and "Na Raiz" this year, Francisco Barata finally presents the record in full, a set of fourteen songs born in the Beira Interior that build a universe deeply tied to the land, memory and identity. Besides the digital release, A Cada Passo Que Dou will also come out in a special vinyl and CD edition, designed to earn a place on shelves, turntables and in the homes of anyone who wants to take these songs with them. The album will be presented live at Casa Capitão in Lisbon on 2 October. A Cada Passo Que Dou consists of 14 songs in which Francisco Barata takes the sounds that marked his childhood in the Beira Interior and reinterprets them through electronics and pop, opening a new space for the exploration of traditional music. Part of the record was recorded during an artistic residency in Donas, the village where his mother grew up, and it is there that many of the sounds running through the album take shape, from the bombos to the pífaro. Depois de revelar, este ano, os singles “Voltas e Voltas” e “Na Raiz”, Francisco Barata apresenta finalmente o disco na íntegra, um conjunto de catorze canções que nascem da Beira Interior para construir um universo profundamente ligado ao território, à memória e à identidade. Além da edição digital, A Cada Passo Que Dou contará também com uma edição especial em vinil e CD, pensada para ganhar lugar nas estantes, nos gira-discos e nas casas de quem quiser levar estas canções consigo. O álbum será apresentado ao vivo na Casa Capitão, em Lisboa, a 2 de Outubro. A Cada Passo Que Dou é composto por 14 canções onde Francisco Barata parte dos sons que marcaram a sua infância na Beira Interior para os reinterpretar através da eletrónica e da pop, onde abre um novo lugar para a exploração da música tradicional. Parte do disco foi gravada em residência artística nas Donas, aldeia onde cresceu a sua mãe, e é aí que ganham forma muitos dos sons que atravessam o álbum, dos bombos ao pífaro.
