Três Tristes Tigres (TTT) is a Portuguese band formed in the 1990s. The new album 'Arca' features lyrics mostly written by poet Regina Guimarães and music by Alexandre Soares and Ana Deus. The band has a history of experimentation, including previous albums like 'Guia Espiritual' and 'Comum'. The group reformed in 2017 and released 'Mínima Luz' in 2020. The current lineup includes Ana Deus (voice and video), Alexandre Soares (guitars and synthesizers), Miguel Ferreira (keyboards), Rui Martelo (bass), Fred Pinto Ferreira (drums), and Eleanor Picas (harp).

Sinopse No novo disco, Arca , os Três Tristes Tigres enviam cartas de amor ao mundo. Entre semelhanças e diferenças a consciência de que tudo está inscrito em cada um e de que o todo é parte do pormenor. Canções sobre migrações e turbulências animadas pelo desejo de contágios amorosos. As letras de Arca foram na sua maioria escritas pela poeta Regina Guimarães e as músicas são assinadas por Alexandre Soares e Ana Deus. Os Três Tristes Tigres (TTT) nasceram nos idos de 1990, à volta de um gravador de cassetes rasca. Ana Deus vinda dos BAN e Regina Guimarães fabricavam informalmente colagens e canções. Antes da formação que dará origem ao primeiro disco. Os primeiros concertos, no bar Aniki-Bobó (Ana Deus e Paula Sousa ao vivo, Regina Guimarães ao morto) assemelhavam-se a um cabaret pop, entre o poético e o corrosivo. Partes Sensíveis , de 1993, será o rasto da primeira configuração dos TTT. Aprofunda-se então a colaboração entre Ana Deus e Alexandre Soares, um ex-GNR que, entretanto, se juntara à banda como músico convidado. Com a alteração do som dessa aventura artística nascerão dois discos de originais , Guia Espiritual (1996) e Comum (1998) , e uma compilação, Visita de Estudo (2001), que contém revisitações, algumas distanciadas, de composições anteriores. Além das digressões ligadas à divulgação dos discos, o pequeno planeta TTT produziu objetos de formatos variados, nomeadamente o concerto «Ferida Consentida» (1999, em torno do livro «Um beijo dado mais tarde» de Maria Gabriela Llansol), canções para filmes de Saguenail e de João Canijo. O grupo reúne-se novamente em 2017 a convite do Teatro Rivoli, no Porto, para tocar o álbum Guia Espiritual , que, em 1996, juntamente com o prémio “Melhor grupo nacional” para os TTT foi considerado “Disco do ano” nos prémios, do então Jornal, Blitz. E, em 2020, os TTT regressam aos discos com o aclamado Mínima Luz . O lançamento do novo disco Arca está agendado para 2025. Ana Deus e Alexandre Soares mantêm também até hoje, uma relação de trabalho com projetos ligados ao Cinema Teatro e Dança, e no coletivo Osso Vaidoso com 2 álbuns editados em 2011 e fim de 2016, com uma forte componente ligada à poesia e a instrumentação minimal, no essencial baseada em trabalho de guitarra e eletrónica.
