At the 27th French Film Festival, Jean-Gabriel Périot's documentary 'Une vie manifeste' portrays the extraordinary destiny of Michèle Firk, a woman passionate about cinema and revolution, from the Second World War to the guerrilla struggle in Guatemala. In his work, Jean-Pierre Périot developed a singular form of montage built from film and photographic archives, exploring the relationship between violence and history. In Une vie manifeste, this approach shapes a fragmented and fascinating portrait of Firk, accompanied by the narration of Alice Diop.
