Full details

Brief Introduction Curbside Lambsear Music about to happen. It's something that occasionally appears on the borders of pop and experimental rock. There are moments that marked history and are remembered even for how they stood out in a context that was already, in itself, quite generous. Think of This Heat tucked into post-punk and how what they did was much more than that; or Broadcast, who in the 1990s infiltrated Warp's promise of the future but, after all, looked too much at a past of a British tradition of making electronic music that only began to be genuinely understood globally almost twenty years later. Curbside Lear are not here to be so revolutionary, but they drink from the same source. Music about to happen. With melodies that stick. A present that marks the future. A duo made up of Magdalena McLean (caroline) and Annabelle Mödlinger (DJ and host of Roadkill Ikebana on NTS), Curbside Lear is a beautiful manual of music happening and about to happen. The principles come from folk, in the search for building a melodic sensitivity that is then completed with loops that create simple textures and fill the spaces of a music built from fragments. The voice crosses paths with several memories and sometimes Trish Keenan comes to mind, for the fit, less for the tone. They are also in line with contemporaries Tara Clerkin Trio. The song that introduced them to the world, 'Man The Door', is in line with the Bristol/London trio and their search for a new sense of music that crosses paths and finds another name that isn't trip hop. That's what this sounds like, something that is making its way to a future we'll remember in a few years. Music about to happen, happening now. AS ~ Anaís Between words and chords, between day and night, between home and the middle of the street, Anaís once again presents herself playing songs born from moments, whether observations of a split second or conversations between friends. She brings new songs and new friends. Doors open 20:30 Prices Entry - 13€

Show original (Portuguese)

Traz consigo músicas novas e novos amigos. Abertura de Portas 20:30 Preços Entrada - 13€
