Synopsis Two emblematic works of the string quartet repertoire. Mozart is represented by the first of his 'Prussian' quartets. The OCCO soloists perform the second quartet from J. Brahms's Op. 51, composed at the age of 40. Brahms was extremely demanding with his chamber music, especially quartets, due to his enormous respect for Beethoven and the legacy left in that genre. It is known that he destroyed more than 20 quartets before allowing the publication of the two Op. 51 quartets, proof of his exacting standards and artistic rigor. Os solistas da OCCO interpretam o segundo quarteto do op. 51 de J. Brahms, composto aos 40 anos de idade. Brahms foi extremamente exigente com a sua música de câmara , especialmente quartetos , devido ao enorme respeito por Beethoven e pela herança deixada nesse género.
