Between Samurai and Violins proposes a musical journey inspired by the life and thought of Shinichi Suzuki, a major figure in 20th-century music pedagogy. Born into a lineage of samurai and a member of the family that owned the world's largest instrument factory, his path was marked by a late discovery of the violin, by his time in Berlin, by his friendship with Einstein and by the formulation of the 'mother tongue' principle. This concert celebrates a legacy that combines discipline, listening and affection, revealing music as a language of formation, sharing and growth. Between tradition and innovation, this concert promotes an immersive experience, capable of transforming performers and audiences on both sides of the stage.

🎤 Albaluna presents “Arena das Falas” at CriArte with protest folk rock Albaluna present Arena das Falas at CriArte, a new chapter in a career spanning 16 years devoted to the fusion of folk rock, Portuguese traditional instruments and sounds from the Mediterranean and cultures linked to the ancient Silk Road. The album keeps the Portuguese word at the centre of a songwriting marked by social commentary, protest and hope. The band returns to the album format 12 years after their first full-length and brings to Carcavelos a repertoire combining viola braguesa, sanfona, bagpipes, ney, percussion, violin, bass and drums. O disco mantém a palavra portuguesa no centro de uma escrita marcada por intervenção social, protesto e esperança.
