Commented concert by Susana Henriques. Lisbon Music Academy. Between Samurai and Violins proposes a musical journey inspired by the life and thought of Shinichi Suzuki, a major figure in 20th-century music pedagogy. Born into a lineage of samurai and a member of the family that owned the world's largest instrument factory, his path was marked by a late discovery of the violin, by his time in Berlin, by his friendship with Einstein and by the formulation of the 'mother tongue' principle. This concert celebrates a legacy that combines discipline, listening and affection, revealing music as a language of formation, sharing and growth. Between tradition and innovation, this concert promotes an immersive experience, capable of transforming performers and audiences on both sides of the stage.

Concert by Les Musiciens du Louvre conducted by Marc Minkowski, performing Handel's Six Concerti Grossi Op. 3.

Full details

Synopsis Pre-concert talk with Cesário Costa, at 6:30 PM. Published in London in 1734, at the height of Georg Friedrich Handel's operatic success in the British capital, the Concerti Grossi Op. 3 exemplarily reveal the composer's stylistic eclecticism, reconciling the Italian tradition inherited from Arcangelo Corelli with the theatricality and inventiveness characteristic of his writing. The collection brings together six concertos of strong expressive contrast, built from two to five movements of diverse nature, often performed independently. In this concert, Les Musiciens du Louvre, under the direction of Marc Minkowski, an unavoidable reference in the interpretation of the Baroque repertoire, bring these pages to life with energy, elegance and stylistic refinement. 'Les Musiciens du Louvre is, quite simply, one of the best orchestras in the world.' Tim Ashley / The Guardian Ficha Artística Direção Musical Marc Minkowski Les Musiciens du Louvre Programa / Cartaz Georg Friedrich Handel (1685, 1759) Seis Concertos Grossos , Op. 3 Preços Sector 1 Plateia - 40€ Sector 2 Plateia - 35€ Sector 3 Plateia - 30€ Sector 4 Plateia - 25€ Laterais - 21€ Camarotes Laterais - 30€ Balcão Lateral - 20€ Camarotes Centrais - 35€ 1º Balcão - 28€ 2º Balcão - 20€ Cad.Rodas e Acomp.
