Between Samurai and Violins proposes a musical journey inspired by the life and thought of Shinichi Suzuki, a major figure in 20th-century music pedagogy. Born into a lineage of samurai and a member of the family that owned the world's largest instrument factory, his path was marked by a late discovery of the violin, by his time in Berlin, by his friendship with Einstein and by the formulation of the 'mother tongue' principle. This concert celebrates a legacy that combines discipline, listening and affection, revealing music as a language of formation, sharing and growth. Between tradition and innovation, this concert promotes an immersive experience, capable of transforming performers and audiences on both sides of the stage.

Guided walk as part of Pink October, about 4 km in Monsanto, to raise funds for breast cancer screening.

Brief Introduction The total raised at this event goes towards the implementation of the Breast Cancer Screening Programme, carried out by the Portuguese League Against Cancer, Southern Regional Centre. Route: about 4 km always on paths and trails, with technical organisation by the Orientation Section of the Portuguese Air Force Association. The meeting point and start of the walk will be at the car park of Parque Cruz das Oliveiras, near the barracks of the Lisbon Fire Brigade Regiment, in Monsanto. Difficulty level: low to medium (route not recommended for children up to 8 years old, baby strollers and people with reduced mobility). Recommendations: use appropriate footwear, comfortable for walking on trails, hat and sunscreen. Kit delivery (t-shirt size available depending on existing stock): From 07/10/2026, at the facilities of the Lisbon Support Group. On the day and at the location of the walk, from 8h30. Breve Introdução O total angariado neste evento reverte para a implementação do Programa de Rastreio de Cancro da Mama, realizado pela Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro , Núcleo Regional do Sul. Circuito: cerca de 4 Km sempre por caminhos e trilhos, com organização técnica da Secção de Orientação da Associação da Força Aérea Portuguesa. O ponto de encontro e início da caminhada será no parque de estacionamento do Parque Cruz das Oliveiras, próximo do quartel do Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros de Lisboa, em Monsanto. Grau de dificuldade: média baixa (percurso não aconselhado a crianças até aos 8 anos, carrinhos de bebé e pessoas de mobilidade reduzida). Recomendações: uso de calçado adequado, confortável para caminhada em trilhos, chapéu e protetor solar.
