A concert by Gli Allunati, the original-music project of Italian pianist and composer Alessio Vellotti, blending composition and improvisation in a cinematic musical narrative.

Full details

Synopsis Gli Allunati is an original music project by Italian pianist and composer Alessio Vellotti, based in Lisbon. Performed by a quartet of musicians from the Portuguese jazz scene, the project brings together compositions that explore themes such as travel, identity and personal transformation, in a constant dialogue between composition and improvisation. Each composition represents a stage of a journey, where soundscapes, melodies and moments of improvisation intertwine in the construction of a deeply cinematic musical narrative. Without using words, the music suggests images, evokes places and invites the audience to follow an itinerary open to each listener's imagination. In concert, the repertoire gains a new dimension through the interaction between the musicians, making each performance a unique experience, in which writing and improvisation transform each other. Show original (Portuguese)
