Brief Introduction Learn to make Dasik (Miniature to accompany tea) Workshop DATES Thursday | October 8 TIME | 15:30 to 18:00 TARGET AUDIENCE Ages 16+ [indicative age] PARTICIPANTS Min. 5, max. 15 PRICE €45 [materials included] NOTE The cooking process is not part of this workshop. The session will be conducted in English. Dasik miniature cakes are a Korean specialty. This variety of snack accompanies tea, enhancing the flavor and aroma of the drink to enrich the experience. With origins dating back to the Goryeo dynasty (918-1392), they were served in rituals or at the Royal tea ceremony. In the past, the patterns of the dasik pan (traditional mold that shapes the dasik) were chosen according to the occasion, and included characters, animals, plants, abstract or geometric designs, each with its own meaning. Today, this diversity remains, with aesthetically appealing designs. In this workshop we will make three dasiks and taste them, accompanied by tea and poems. Program 1. Prepare the dough, gluten-free and vegan, using powdered ingredients, soy, chestnuts, mung beans, black sesame, honey, rice syrup, cinnamon 2. Knead the ingredients to make the mixture 3. Press the dough using the traditional Dasik pan (???) in wood, engraved with Korean patterns Three dasiks will be pressed in traditional size, with different designs 4. Tasting of the dasik, accompanied by tea and poems Sejin Cho is a visual artist from South Korea, graduated in painting from Hongik University. Since 2018, she lives and works in Lisbon, maintaining ties to Korea, where she spends long periods, pursuing her artistic career. In June 2024 she held a tea ceremony as part of the South Korean Cultural Festival. She is passionate about tea and its culture. Prices Entry - 45€

A sessão será conduzida em língua inglesa Os bolos miniatura Dasik são uma especialidade coreana. Esta variedade de snack acompanha o chá, enaltecendo o sabor e aroma da bebida para assim enriquecer a experiência. Com origens que remontam à dinastia Goryeo (918-1392), eram servidos em rituais ou na cerimónia do chá Real. No passado, os padrões do dasik pan (molde tradicional que dá forma ao dasik) eram escolhidos consoante a ocasião, e incluiam caracteres, animais, plantas, desenhos abstractos ou geométricos, cada qual com o seu significado. Na actualidade, esta diversidade mantém-se, com desenhos esteticamente apelativos. Nesta oficina vamos fazer três dasiks e degustá-los, acompanhados de chá e poemas. Programa 1. Prensar a massa utilizando o tradicional molde Dasik pan (???) em madeira, gravado com padrões coreanos Serão prensados três dasik em tamanho tradicional, com diferentes desenhos 4. Degustação do dasik, acompanhado de chá e poemas Sejin Cho é uma artista visual da Coreia do Sul, formada em pintura pela Universidade Hongik. Desde 2018, vive e trabalha em Lisboa, mantendo o vínculo à Coreia, onde passa largas temporadas, na persecução da sua carreira artística. Em Junho de 2024 realizou uma cerimónia do chá no âmbito da Festa Cultural da Coreia do sul. É uma apaixonada do chá e da sua cultura. Preços Entrada - 45€
