Brief Introduction The MEO Commedia a La Carte Fest - International Humor Festival transforms Lisbon into a stage-city between October 29 and November 1, bringing together some of the biggest names in national and international comedy in a program that crosses stand-up, improvisation, music and hybrid formats. With shows spread across several iconic venues, the festival offers an immersive experience where humor is a meeting point between different generations, styles and languages, in a lineup designed for diverse audiences and for those looking to see live some of the most relevant names today. Synopsis Umbilical Brothers: The Distraction The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy phenomenon. Considered by Entertainment Weekly as two of the "100 Most Creative People in Entertainment", David Collins and Shane Dundas have performed on The Tonight Show with Stephen Colbert, took the stage after James Brown at Woodstock '99 and performed before the Queen of England. Their unique fusion of physical and vocal comedy has taken them to more than 40 countries, performing in stadiums and iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House. In 2026, they return to Portugal for a one-off performance at the MEO Commedia A La Carte Fest, in which they present The Distraction, their latest show.
