Full details

The Cascais Surf Programme for Employability aims to promote the employability of young people and adults who are unemployed or looking for their first job. Surfing is the core tool which, combined with others, supports participants in designing and carrying out their personal and professional path. At the same time, it introduces them to the activity and the technical know-how of the various possible work contexts in the surfing field. Over five weeks, the programme includes weekly surf and yoga lessons, individual coaching and group coaching to support personal and professional development, and training sessions in economics, accounting and finance, communication and marketing, active job searching, management and planning, and entrepreneurship. The cycle ends with two days of reviewing skills and differentiated experiences, in a session called Deep in the Ocean. After the programme ends, participants can also benefit from 16 weeks of mentoring to develop their project. The theoretical component takes place in person at Nova SBE, in Carcavelos, and the surf lessons take place at Praia de Carcavelos. Participation is free. Applications run from 7 September to 2 November 2026 at https://www.surfsocialwave.org/surf-para-a-empregabilidade.
