Brief Introduction LINOCUT WORKSHOP With Maria Manuel Lyra DATE | Tuesday | 13 October TIME | 14:30 to 18:00 PARTICIPANTS | Min. 6 Max. 10 PRICE | €45 (includes materials) This workshop proposes a practical introduction to the linocut technique. The basic principles of drawing composition, its transfer to the matrix, the use of cutting tools, and manual printing methods will be addressed. It is aimed at beginners and the curious, with no prior experience required, and invites close contact with the different materials, processes, and essential caregivers in this printmaking technique. Each participant may bring an image of their choice as long as it is printed in mirror. At the end, they can take home the print created in the workshop. Maria Manuel Lyra is a visual artist, graduated in Landscape Architecture, with practice developed between painting, printmaking, and installation. She has dedicated herself to printmaking since 2019, deepening processes related to the body, time, and memory. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. She is currently president of the Água-Forte Printmaking Association. In case of cancellation: A full refund of the registration fee will be made when cancellation is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in situations of illness, accident, or other unforeseeable circumstances of force majeure, duly proven. Breve Introdução OFICINA DE LINOGRAVURA Com Maria Manuel Lyra DATA | Terça Feira | 13 Outubro HORAS |14.30 às 18.00 PARTICIPANTES | Min. 6 Max. 10 PREÇO | €45 (inclui materiais) Este workshop propõe uma introdução prática à técnica de linogravura. Serão abordados os princípios básicos da composição do desenho, da sua transferência para a matriz, da utilização das ferramentas de corte e dos métodos de impressão manual. Destina-se a iniciantes e curiosos, sem necessidade de experiência prévia, e convida a um contacto próximo com os diferentes materiais, processos e cuidadores essenciais nesta técnica de gravura. Cada participante poderá trazer uma imagem à sua escolha desde que impressa em espelho. No final poderá levar para casa a gravura criada na oficina. Maria Manuel Lyra é artista visual, licenciada em Arquitetura Paisagista, com prática desenvolvida entre a pintura, a gravura e a instalação. Dedica-se à gravura desde 2019, aprofundando processos ligados ao corpo, ao tempo e à memória. O seu trabalho tem sido apresentado em exposições individuais e coletivas em Portugal e no estrangeiro. É atualmente presidente da Associação de Gravura Água-Forte. Em caso de desistência: Haverá lugar ao reembolso do valor total da inscrição quando a desistência for comunicada até 8 dias úteis antes da actividade. Depois dessa data, o reembolso só poderá ser considerado se o lugar for preenchido ou em situações de doença, acidente, ou outros imponderáveis de força maior, devidamente comprovados.
