Producer Ao Sul do Mundo, CRL Synopsis Born on the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde, Mark Delman is a rapper, author and composer, one of the leading names of the new generation of Cape Verdean music. He grew up in Ribeira Bote, a reality that influenced his artistic identity and a writing style marked by introspection, social issues and human relationships. After standing out in the collective In The Air, he began his solo career with the EP '5AM Vibes' (2016). In 2019 he released the album '#1991', a milestone in Creole Hip-Hop that made him the first rapper from São Vicente to surpass 1 million streams on Spotify. In 2025 he released 'S.M.!H.A.' (Só Mas Um História D'Amor), a conceptual album that surpassed 7 million streams in its first year, remained the number 1 album in Cape Verde for more than a year and reached the Top 7 of Apple Music in Portugal and Luxembourg. Besides his career as a performer, Mark Delman is also one of the best-known composers of Cape Verdean music, having written hits for artists such as Nelson Freitas (author of 'Dpos d'Quarentena', a Gold Disc in Portugal), June Freedom ('Andréia', 'Preta', 'Egoísta' and 'Sins'), Neyna ('Akanadja'), Djodje ('Tentason') and Kady ('Emorio').
