The Scottish band The Twilight Sad, one of the most intense and emotional bands of modern post-punk, return to Portugal for two highly anticipated concerts in November: on the 14th at Hard Club (Porto) and on the 15th at LAV, Lisboa ao Vivo. Described by Robert Smith of The Cure as a band that "in a better world would play to many more people", The Twilight Sad have won a devoted audience over the last decade through the cathartic force of their performances and the disarming honesty of their songs. Originating from Kilsyth, Scotland, the creative core formed by James Graham (vocals) and Andy MacFarlane (guitar and production) has built a singular discography, five studio albums, ranging from the melancholic lyricism of the acclaimed Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters (2007) to the emotional climax of IT WON/T BE LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME (2019). The latter, released by Rock Action Records, Mogwai's label, consolidated the group as one of the most expressive British formations of today, mixing dense guitars, hypnotic synthesizers and rare emotional weight. On stage, The Twilight Sad transforms pain into communion.
