On 21, 22 and 23 December, MAC/CCB challenges children aged 4 to 13 to explore colour with Francisca Carvalho and the stories objects tell in Ângela Ferreira's exhibition, in Christmas holiday workshops at the museum.

Full details

Brief Introduction The most eagerly awaited time of year is approaching, and MAC/CCB invites the youngest to fill some holiday days with new adventures at the museum. Between drawings, colours, stories and imagined worlds, the Christmas Holiday Workshops bring opportunities for discovery, experimentation and creation, taking as their starting point the museum's works and exhibitions. On 16, 17 and 18, and 21, 22 and 23 December, the workshops challenge participants, aged 4 to 13, to try out different forms of expression. From drawings passed from hand to hand to journeys through colour, and from building imagined realities to the stories objects can tell, each proposal opens up space for curiosity and imagination. Because art is also a way of discovering the world. Synopsis THE JOURNEYS OF COLOUR Could a painting daydream? Could it sing? And ask questions? The artist Francisca Carvalho has developed her whole practice thinking about, philosophising and playing with drawing and colours. In her works, she creates patterns with geometric shapes, mixes natural pigments and even prints on fabric, as she learned in India. Come and embark on this journey of playing and learning with shapes, textures and colours. Conception: Ana Dias Guidance: Ana Dias and Marília Pascoal Date: 21, 22 and 23 December Ages: 4, 6 years WHAT IF OBJECTS COULD TELL STORIES? Starting from Here I Stand, by Ângela Ferreira, we understand how sculptures, images, sounds and architectures can hold memories, raise questions and reveal different ways of looking at the world. We will walk through this exhibition with curious eyes, listen to the stories the installations tell us and discover the artist's strong connection to Africa. We challenge you to develop spaces, shapes and films that relate something important to you. Because every world is made of stories. Nas suas obras, cria padrões com formas geométricas, mistura pigmentos da natureza e até imprime em tecido, como aprendeu na Índia. Venham embarcar nesta viagem de brincar e aprender com as formas, as texturas e as cores.
