The Quarteto Lopes-Graça and Mozambican percussionist Aldovino Munguambe perform a free concert at the Biblioteca de Alcântara on 4 October at 7.30pm, devoted to composers and musical traditions from across Africa and closing with Estêvão Chissano's 'E-Terno Retorno'.

🎤 The Quarteto Lopes-Graça and Aldovino Munguambe cross strings and African rhythms in Alcântara. The Quarteto Lopes-Graça joins Mozambican percussionist Aldovino Munguambe for a concert dedicated to composers and musical languages from different African geographies. The programme features works by Dumisani Maraire, Justinian Tamusuza, Kevin Volans and Mokale Koapeng, building bridges between string quartet, rhythmic pulse and diverse musical traditions. The concert closes with E-Terno Retorno by Estêvão Chissano, a work dedicated to the Quarteto Lopes-Graça.
