Laurent Filipe celebrates the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis in a free concert in Estoril

Marking the centenary of Miles Davis's birth, Laurent Filipe presents a narrated concert at the Auditório Carlos Avilez, joined by Mário Delgado, Alexandre Frazão, Massimo Cavalli and Pedro Lopes. The Portuguese trumpeter revisits decisive moments of Davis's career and shows how he crossed and helped transform successive phases of modern jazz.

Máximo brings PANGEA to B.Leza, a trio project where jazz, voice and electronica meet in a musical reflection on the climate crisis, with Joppe van Noten on drums and Jan Honnef on bass. Live, the album's five tracks are expanded through improvisation, adding solo piano, spoken word, synthesizers and pre-recorded material.

ACCESSIBILITY In Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creole with Portuguese and English subtitles 29 NOV Interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language and Audio Description SPECTATOR CLUB 28 NOV Moderated by José Maria Vieira Mendes and Maria Sequeira Mendes Please, Love Me! tells the story of Klió, a pop singer acclaimed by the public but ignored by critics, who decides to document her own story as she prepares to celebrate ten years of career. Haunted by an enigmatic entity and guided by a deep belief, Klió becomes convinced that she can only free herself from the pain that permeates her existence if she offers something to the gods. How far will she go to break the cycle of violence? Drawing on Yoruba cosmology and mythical figures such as Medusa, Medea and Lilith, Cleo Diára, and her alter-ego Klió, offers us a reflection on being a Black Cape Verdean woman in a patriarchal world. Cléo Diára was born in 1987, in Praia, Cape Verde. Since 2015 she has participated as a performer in several shows by national directors, such as Mário Coelho, Mónica Calle, Pedro Baptista, Rogério Carvalho and Sónia Baptista. In 2020, she was awarded the Amélia Rey Colaço Grant to create the show Aurora Negra, with Isabél Zuaa and Nádia Yracema. Since then, the Aurora Negra collective has created Cosmos (Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, 2022) and Missão da Missão (Teatro do Bairro Alto, 2023). In 2025, she received the Best Actress award in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in O Riso e a Faca, by Pedro Pinho. In 2026 she was selected for the European Shooting Stars programme.
