Brief Introduction NEW DATE - December 12 On the occasion of the 18th Anniversary of the Museu do Oriente This will be the world premiere of an unprecedented concert by Júlio Resende, conceived specifically for the Museu do Oriente. Júlio Resende's piano will start playing at the right time, because in Japan the zero of minutes and seconds is equal to the infinite respect the Japanese have for the group. Arriving late is not having Yuu. Care, and without care, focus and dedication, nothing is built with Mii, Beauty. Therefore we ask you to arrive 10 minutes before the music starts, to listen to the silence, as in a temple. After two trips to Japan, Júlio Resende, with his solo piano, learned to love the place where one does not like to use the word 'no' with others, so as not to be rude, and will seek to enter Zazen, the place of the Zen school that stimulates Seated Meditation. "The Piano has always been my place of Zazen, that place where seated, but at the same time in extreme activity, I shelter from dangers or venture into the world," says the pianist. Júlio Resende Artistic Cast Júlio Resende is one of the most recognized Portuguese pianists and composers today, standing out for his singular musical identity and constant search for new forms of artistic expression. With a career marked by creative freedom, he began his journey in jazz, releasing his first works in trio and quartet format, where he early revealed his strong improvisation and composition skills. Over the years, the musician has expanded his sound universe, crossing jazz with other musical and artistic languages. One of the most remarkable moments of his career comes with the project Amália por Júlio Resende, where he presents an innovative approach to fado, bringing to the piano the emotion and intensity of Portuguese song. The album was widely acclaimed by national and international critics, consolidating his name as one of the most creative musicians of his generation. His artistic curiosity also led him to explore new collaborations and concepts, from the encounter between music and poetry in the project Poesia Homónima, with Júlio Machado Vaz, to the creation of the band Alexander Search, inspired by Fernando Pessoa's English heteronym, where he approaches pop-rock and electronic sounds. Recognized for his expressiveness and musical communication ability, Júlio Resende has presented his work on national and international stages, providing intense and engaging concerts, where improvisation and emotion play a central role. Each performance becomes a unique experience, reflecting the constant artistic reinvention that characterizes his career. O piano de Júlio Resende vai começar a tocar à hora certa, porque no Japão o zero dos minutos e dos segundos é igual ao infinito respeito que os japoneses têm pelo grupo. Chegar atrasado é não ter Yuu. Cuidado, e sem cuidado, foco e dedicação não se constrói nada com Mii, Beleza. Por isso pedimos para que chegue 10 minutos antes da música começar, para escutar o silêncio, como num templo. Sim, ninguém viaja ao Japão sem desejar visitar um templo, e como num templo japonês, só depois de escutarmos o silêncio se poderá escutar a música. Lá ao fundo, no fim do concerto, no encore talvez, e por cima de todos os silêncios alguém conhecedor poderá gritar Banzai! Após duas viagens pelo Japão, Júlio Resende, com o seu piano, a solo, aprendeu a amar o lugar onde não se gosta de usar a palavra “não” perante os outros, para não se ser indelicado, e procurará entrar em Zazen, o lugar da escola Zen que estimula a Meditação Sentada.
