Rádio Macau are back on stage with two concerts at the Coliseus, on September 30 and October 2. After more than a decade of hiatus, the band returns to the stage with the lineup that consolidated one of the most unique discographies in Portuguese pop-rock, promising a setlist that spans several phases of their career. Emerging in the context of the second wave of Portuguese pop-rock, Rádio Macau established themselves early on as a project that crosses the tension of post-punk with the sophistication of new wave and a strong literary dimension. More than following a trend, they built their own territory, guided by the word and an urban atmosphere in which guitars and electronics dialogue with the daily experience of Lisbon and its suburbs. Over the decades, Rádio Macau oscillated between moments of greater visibility and phases of reinvention, exploring electronic languages and autonomous production models. Never fully integrated into the mainstream nor confined to the underground, they occupied an intermediate and singular place in Portuguese music: that of a band that made melancholy pop material and literature song. €18 to €45 Portuguese pop/rock.
