South Korean pianist Yeol Eum Son joins the Gulbenkian Orchestra under conductor Andrey Boreyko for Prokofiev's demanding Piano Concerto No. 2, followed by Shostakovich's Symphony No. 1. The programme opens with the world premiere of Carlos Caires's 'Celebration', commissioned for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's 70th anniversary, and lasts about two hours.
