The Fantastic Mr. Wolk
O Fantástico Sr. Wolk
Theatre
Sunday 4 October · until 25 Oct
A family musical about Martim and Lucas, two brothers living in an old orphanage, and the mysterious Mr. Wolk, who turns their grey routines into adventures full of colour, songs and imagination. A Contexto Produções production about courage and the importance of never stopping dreaming.
What if, on a day like any other, someone came in through the window… and changed everything? In the heart of an old orphanage where the rules of the implacable Director Crumble speak louder than dreams live Martim and Lucas, two inseparable brothers who share the same certainty: one day, their mother will come back to take them home. And who said windows are only for looking at the world? On a gust of wind arrives the mysterious and charming Mr. Wolk. Eccentric and unpredictable, Wolk turns silences into laughter, shadows into adventures and grey routines into true spectacles of colour. With him, the corridors come to life and the children discover something they have never had: freedom. But not all magic is predictable. When a visit from social services arrives at the orphanage, it is the children's fun and imagination that turn the inspection into a threat to the orphanage's future. For the first time, magic ceases to be mere charm… it becomes a risk. Between unforgettable songs, moments of pure fantasy and a story that warms the heart, The Fantastic Mr. Wolk is an emotional musical about courage, imagination and the importance of never stop believing. A production for the whole family, where the magic lies not in tricks… but in the ability to care. Because sometimes, all we need… is for someone to teach us to dream again.
