Eritage Art Projects Lisbon

A group exhibition bringing together four women artists from four continents — Ana Leovy, Brittany Ferns, Flora Castiglia and Loutje Hoekstra — reflecting, through ancestral knowledge, on a world out of alignment and inviting us to stop, breathe and rethink what we inherit and choose to preserve.

There is knowledge older than any civilisation we recognise today. For millennia, indigenous peoples have known how to live in alignment with the cycles of the earth, an intelligence that does not separate the human from the environment, the body from the territory, the sacred from the everyday. It is from this dialogue with nature and this living memory that BREATH is built. The exhibition reflects on a world out of alignment: economic models based on perpetual growth, a technological acceleration that leaves no space to digest what happens, and a growing disconnection from ourselves and from others. BREATH is an invitation to stop. To breathe. To rethink what we have inherited and what we choose to preserve. Bringing together four women artists from four continents, Ana Leovy [MX], Brittany Ferns [AU], Flora Castiglia [AR] and Loutje Hoekstra [NL], the exhibition traces the invisible threads linking the ancestral to the present, the intimate to the political, the domestic to the wild. Wednesday to Friday, from 15h to 19h, Saturday, from 14h to 18h. Group show.
