Photographer Wanderson Alves presents the series 'Asas de Papel', black and white photographs in which old toys and domestic relics become unsettling traces of a buried world.
In the series Asas de Papel, photographer Wanderson Alves asserts the originality of a visual approach that displaces seemingly humble objects into a field of poetic tension, in which memory, abandonment and unease intertwine. In this series of black and white photographs, old toys leave the luminous territory of childhood to enter a denser, more stifling zone, in which what is familiar to us becomes charged with an almost imperceptible threat. Dolls, stuffed animals, small figures and modest domestic relics appear as traces of a buried world, at once close and irremediably displaced. Their silent presence no longer consoles: it observes, retains, watches over. What once belonged to play leans here towards a form of apparition. Monday to Friday, 15h to 19h, Saturday, 10h to 13h.
