The 27th edition of the Festa do Cinema Francês includes several film premieres, among them the opening film La Bataille de Gaulle: L'âge de fer, by Antonin Baudry, a biographical work centered on the figure of General Charles de Gaulle, which recovers one of the decisive moments in the History of France. From director Quentin Dupieux, Full Phil is shown, a dark and surreal comedy that brings together Kristen Stewart and Woody Harrelson in the leading roles. Also noteworthy is Isabelle Huppert's performance in the comedy Ni vue, ni connue, by Marc Fitoussi, a biting satire of the film industry. Highlight of this edition is the tribute to Brigitte Bardot, to whom a retrospective is dedicated at the Cinemateca Portuguesa that shows works by filmmakers such as Roger Vadim, Louis Malle, Jean-Luc Godard or Henri-Georges Clouzot, with whom the actress worked on the most notable films of her career. The Festa also has a special guest, the French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani who, in a Carte Blanche, chooses and presents films from the most recent Moroccan cinema. AF.
