à escuta marks its 2nd anniversary at no. 42 Rua de Marvila with Vítor Rua's immersive ambient piece 'Aquilo que o espaço ouve' and DJ sets from João Salgueiro, Solleo and Salti, from 3pm to 10pm.
One, two and… yes, it's a beautiful truth: it has been 2 years of à escuta. Listening to sounds, to dreams and to the love that reminds us of the cosmic unity we are. Silence is part of this journey, and we do not fear it. It was in silence that we found ourselves and gave wings to imagination and creation. After a summer spent outdoors, we return to the city, and to celebrate the abundance lived and co-created over these two years, on the 11th we return to no. 42 Rua de Marvila, from 3pm to 10pm. Come, step in calmly, barefoot, feel the rugs, hug a cushion or a friend and let yourself be carried away by the journey we are preparing: Vítor Rua - an artist of extraordinary trajectory who needs no introduction: from seminal rock, as a founder of GNR, to the vertigo of free improvisation in the historic duo Telectu. His work is a living ecosystem where minimalism, electronics, jazz and contemporary composition cross paths without asking permission. Never letting go of his guitar, Vítor Rua is an urgent and plural creator for whom making music is, at bottom, a constant and honest accounting with life. In this special edition Vítor will present: "Aquilo que o espaço ouve" ("What the space hears"), a proposal he himself defines as an ambient landscape. An immersive sonic experience that challenges us to slow down, tears open the frontiers of our usual auditory perception and invites us to inhabit the deep relationship between sound, memory and the very resonance of space. DJs: João Salgueiro - a DJ and attentive collector who turns listening into an authentic and contemplative experience. Solleo - a movement artist with roots in contemporary dance, Leo Souza explores the relationship between body and rhythm, extending his work with movement to the collecting and selecting of records.
