The 2026–2027 season of the Academia da Pena travels through the eight ecclesiastical tones, one per month, and opens with the 1.º Tom da Pena at the 13 October Recital at Dusk: Frescobaldi, Coelho, Titelouze, Kerll and Bruna in five ways of saying the same thing. Listeners choose where they sit — by the organ, in the high choir or in the nave — and entry is free.
The 2026–2027 season of the Academia da Pena travels through the eight ecclesiastical tones, one per month. After the prologue that presented them all, the season begins at the beginning. The first tone rests on D and recites on A. It is the tone with which one opens, and for that reason it crosses all of Europe: Frescobaldi in Rome, Coelho in Lisbon, Titelouze in Rouen, Kerll in Munich, Bruna in Daroca. Five ways of saying the same thing. On 13 October, the Recital at Dusk is titled 1.º Tom da Pena. Listeners can choose where they sit: next to the organ, in the high choir or in the nave. Free.
