Live music 19€
Saturday 10 October
The South Korean duo Dal:um, formed by Ha Suyean and Hwang Hyeyoung, reinterprets the gayageum and the geomungo through a contemporary lens, presenting music from their latest album Coexistence.
Picking up two traditional South Korean string instruments, the gayageum and the geomungo, Ha Suyean and Hwang Hyeyoung created a duo in which they reinterpret the language of these instruments in light of a contemporary approach. Under the name Dal:um, the two young musicians invent a unique sound, reclaiming tradition as living, renewable matter, through music as bold as it is beautiful, as enchanting as it is challenging. Their most recent album, Coexistence, was inspired by the natural landscapes near Seoul, but also by those they discovered on their European tours. Line-up: Ha Suyean - Gayageum, Geomungo. Hwang Hyeyoung - Gayageum, Geomungo.
