Nivine Kallas explores the resonances and points of tension between gesture and word, in a dance that dialogues with the Arabic language, its script, rhythm, inflections and silences. Rooted in a childhood marked by absence and silence in the Lebanese education system, the piece revisits the image of a classroom window through which the mind escaped while the body remained confined.
